*Kid's Yoga Motion-Dance Class*

 Yoga Motion integrates basic yoga or stretching poses with fundamentals of modern, traditional, and ethnic styles dance. This class is designed to increase children’s self-esteem, awareness, coordination, patience and concentration. Children will learn how to warm up their bodies properly with exercises that emphasize breath work, flexibility and strength. They will learn many different dance styles and movements that will further self-expression and creativity. We will also explore dance, music and yoga through costumes, live instruments and art. Yoga Motion will improve stress reduction, aid injury prevention, and enhance your child's overall performance in school and sports. Your child will have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned at the end of the session.


Darcie Peck has been teaching yoga for 12 years and has professional experience teaching pre-school through 6th grade children. Her educational background includes an extensive study in Dance, Early Childhood Development and Yoga Therapy. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email.


Jazz & Hip-Hop Dance Classes with Miss Danielle starting January 6th & 8th 2009' at Wind River Yoga Studio

-5-6pm Tuesdays, ages 5-8yrs.

-6-7pm Tuesdays, ages

9-12yrs.

-5-6pm Thursdays, ages 13+yrs.

(season runs January - May)

Cost: $10 per class per student or $35/month or $170/per season

  Danielle Kaumo began dancing at the age of five and knew after her first class that this would become her life passion. She has had extensive training in many forms of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hip, Tap, Modern and Pointe. She began her dancing career in Logan, Utah where she danced for The Dance Academy. She began substitute teaching dance at the age of 16 and was made a permanent teacher at the age of 18. She then moved to Spearfish South Dakota for college and where she served as the Black Hills State University Team Captain for two years and the team coach for the following two years. While in college she also taught for The Dance Company where she instructed Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and one of the three competitive teams.
