Find Balance!

There are many opportunities to practice balance in yoga class—from balancing poses such as Vrksasana (Tree Pose) and Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose) to finding that perfect balance between effort and relaxation, activity and sweet surrender.

The balance we practice in the yoga studio is really training to help us be more balanced in our everyday lives.

As yogis, we cultivate the ability and intuition to balance the things that are most important in our lives—relationships with family and friends, work, health, money—too much of any of these things can throw us off, causing us to topple over!

This month of August, I invite you to practice balance through your yoga practice. Take a class that allows you work on both your physical balance and mental or emotional balance.

Then, take what you learn out into the world, and work on your life balance. Connect with the pulse of life - the incredible power of summer and soar with the endless opportunities to rediscover balance back in your body, mind and spirit!

See you on the mat!

Many blessings,

Darcie Peck

Yoga entails a series of postures or asanas to awaken the healing prana or life force inside. Through simple breath work and movement, we learn how to bring balance back to our minds and bodies.

Yoga is a powerful and fulfilling discipline that improves health, vitality, longevity and emotional balance. By being conscience through breath and movement, one can learn how to dislodge negativity, old beliefs and past experiences from the body.
